Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your relationship with The G.S.B. Mandal, Thane ("the Mandal", "we", "us"), a registered community trust. By becoming a member, making a donation, participating in our events, or using our website and services, you agree to these Terms.

1. About The G.S.B. Mandal, Thane

The G.S.B. Mandal, Thane is a registered community trust established in 1964, operating under the guidance of Sri Kashi Math Samsthan, Varanasi. The Mandal serves the Gauda Saraswat Brahmin (GSB) community in Thane and surrounding areas through religious, cultural, and social welfare activities.

2. Membership Eligibility

Membership of The G.S.B. Mandal, Thane is open to individuals and families belonging to the Gauda Saraswat Brahmin community, subject to the following:

• Applicants must be from the GSB community and should be residing in or around Thane.
• Membership is granted at the discretion of the Managing Committee.
• Members are expected to abide by the Mandal's rules, by-laws, and code of conduct.
• Annual membership fees, if applicable, must be paid on time to maintain active membership status.
• The Managing Committee reserves the right to revoke membership in cases of misconduct or violation of the Mandal's principles.

3. Donations & Financial Contributions

We accept donations for religious sevas, social welfare programs, and the general fund. The following terms apply to all donations:

• Non-Refundable: All donations made to The G.S.B. Mandal, Thane are voluntary and non-refundable. Once a donation is processed, it cannot be reversed or refunded.
• 80G Tax Benefit: The Mandal is registered under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Donors are eligible for tax deduction benefits. A valid PAN card is required to claim the 80G benefit, and must be provided at the time of donation.
• Online Donations: Online donations and seva bookings are facilitated through the 3ionetra platform. Payment processing is handled by third-party payment gateways through 3ionetra. The Mandal is not responsible for any payment processing failures or issues on the third-party platform.
• Receipts: Official donation receipts will be provided for all contributions. For 80G eligible donations, tax exemption certificates will be issued with the donor's PAN details.
• Usage of Funds: All donations are utilised solely for the purposes of the Mandal's religious, cultural, educational, and social welfare activities, as governed by the trust deed.

4. Event Participation

The Mandal organises religious ceremonies, cultural programs, competitions, medical camps, and community gatherings throughout the year. By participating in our events:

• You agree to follow the event rules, guidelines, and instructions of the organising committee.
• Registration for events (where required) is on a first-come, first-served basis unless otherwise specified.
• The Mandal reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel events due to unforeseen circumstances, weather conditions, or other factors beyond our control.
• Participants are expected to maintain decorum and respect the sanctity of religious events.
• The Mandal is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to property during events, except where caused by the Mandal's direct negligence.

5. Photography, Video & Content Usage

Photographs and videos are routinely taken at our events and programs for documentation, publicity, and community engagement. By attending our events:

• You consent to being photographed or video-recorded.
• These images and recordings may be shared on Google Photos albums, YouTube, WhatsApp, our blog, social media, printed materials, and our website.
• The Mandal retains the right to use event photographs and videos for non-commercial, community-related purposes without further consent or compensation.
• If you wish to have specific images removed, please contact us and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.

6. Intellectual Property

The name "The G.S.B. Mandal, Thane", our logo, branding materials, website design, and all original content on this website are the intellectual property of The G.S.B. Mandal, Thane. You may not use, reproduce, modify, or distribute our name, logo, or branding materials without prior written permission from the Managing Committee. Unauthorised use of our intellectual property may result in legal action.

7. Website Usage

This website is provided for informational purposes about The G.S.B. Mandal, Thane and its activities. While we strive to keep the information accurate and up to date, we make no warranties or guarantees about the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of the content. Links to third-party websites (such as 3ionetra, YouTube, Google Photos, etc.) are provided for convenience. The Mandal is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of these external sites.

8. Limitation of Liability

The G.S.B. Mandal, Thane is a volunteer-run community trust. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• The Mandal, its committee members, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in events, use of our services, or reliance on information provided on this website.
• The Mandal is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury that occurs during events or on the premises, except in cases of proven direct negligence by the Mandal.
• The Mandal is not responsible for any issues arising from the use of third-party platforms, including but not limited to 3ionetra, WhatsApp, YouTube, and Google Photos.

9. Code of Conduct

All members, donors, and event participants are expected to conduct themselves with respect and dignity. Behaviour that is disruptive, disrespectful to religious sentiments, or harmful to the community will not be tolerated. The Managing Committee reserves the right to take appropriate action, including removal from events and revocation of membership, against individuals who violate this code of conduct.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Thane, Maharashtra.

11. Changes to These Terms

The G.S.B. Mandal, Thane reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued participation in Mandal activities after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
